Look at the light at the Holualoa Inn for John and Tracy's Hawaii destination wedding! A very special venue for a different feel of the Big Island's beauty in stunning Holualoa and this sweet couple had the most beautiful sunset for their outdoor ceremony. Happy Holidays to all from Bikini Birdie Photography.

Hannah and David had the most romantic Hawaii wedding at the Four Seasons Hualalai on the Kona Coast of the Big Island. Their elegant ceremony on the beach was the perfect way to tie the knot away from the crowds of home. The sky the evening of their wedding was the wildest pink color and made for the perfect backdrop to their special day. Congratulations to Hannah and David!

Big Island Wedding at Kehena Beach

Most of the Big Island of Hawai'i weddings I have photographed so far on the beach have been on the island's Kona Coast so I was thrilled to get the opportunity to head to the island's East side to photograph a destination wedding at Kehena Beach. W and D had a small ceremony only with their closest friends and then headed to The Bali House for the celebration. The rugged coastline of lower Puna provided an unbelievable backdrop to their wedding.

This fun group got together for a full family vacation on the Kona Coast of the Big Island this past summer. The entire family had a great sense of humor which made things run really smoothly here at Old Airport Beach Park.... and look at all these gorgeous kids. I mean, come on! I love the idea of all the cousins getting to vacation together. What amazing memories they will have from this time.  Aloha Friday, everybody.

Big Island Destination Wedding

Geoff and Mei had a sweet destination wedding on the Big Island of Hawaii at the lovely Mauna Lani Bay Hotel on the Kona coast. Congratulations to Geoff and Mei!

I have known Laura since she and I became mothers only ten days apart. She and her partner, Tomás, headed out into the sun drenched Mediterranean coast with me this past summer for a sweet family session with their adorable daughter Emma.

Laura and Gonzalo were married this Spring in the countryside of Segovia at Finca Aldeallana, a beautiful rustic estate outside of Madrid. With their two beautiful sons at their side, the entire day seemed extra special and full of love. Laura looked downright royal in her dress from Basaldúa. A big thanks to Paula for shooting with me. Congratulations, you two!

Sarah and Rob decided to leave all the fuss of planning a big wedding back home in Ohio, and flew to the beautiful island of Kauai for an intimate destination wedding for two. It was the first time I have ever buttoned up a bride's dress, because I was the only person there. It was such an honor to share in their wedding and obviously, Kauai is pretty much tops as a backdrop. Since there was no rush to get back to the guests, we drove around the island's north shore for photos before the couple continued on their honeymoon/wedding trip. Aloha!

I met Laura last year photographing her fun birthday party with her closest friends. It was a treat to get to photograph her with her lovely kids this year at her favorite Big Island resort, The Fairmont Orchid.

Maria Julia and Nico live in Paris and chose magical Barcelona for their wedding last year. The ceremony was at the Iglesia de Sant Pere de les Puelles in the heart of Barcelona and the reception was held at the take your breath away gorgeous Castell De Sant Marçal, which is, a real life castle. No biggie. There are lots of nice things to say about Nico and M.J. but of all the beautiful things I experienced on their wedding day, I was most taken by their dance floor. The party that exploded before dinner for two songs would blow most wedding dance floors out of the water. This crowd knows how to dance!
