Laura and Gonzalo were married this Spring in the countryside of Segovia at Finca Aldeallana, a beautiful rustic estate outside of Madrid. With their two beautiful sons at their side, the entire day seemed extra special and full of love. Laura looked downright royal in her dress from Basaldúa. A big thanks to Paula for shooting with me. Congratulations, you two!

Laura and Gonzalo had a lovely wedding celebrated at Finca Aldeallana outside of Madrid. Their two gorgeous sons were right there with them throughout the big day. I look forward forward to sharing more images from this beautiful Spanish wedding. Congratulations to this stunning family!

Einar and Veronica are lovely, genuine, and madly in love. Their Costa Blanca destination wedding reflected that in every way.  They had a moving ceremony in Villajoyosa at the Norwegian church, then to old town Altea and Calpe for photos before landing at L'Olleta Chiringuito in Altea for the reception. They had barely more than a dozen guests which kept things intimate and special. Einar is a photographer, which sometimes can be intimidating, but it was a total pleasure to work with him as he trusted in my vision one hundred percent. We are spending most of the year in Hawai'i now but we save summers for Spain (¡claro que sí! ) and these photos remind me of the beautiful Mediterranean we have to look forward to.

A long lost frame from a beautiful wedding on the Costa Blanca. Here's to starting the week. Aloha.

Helena and Antonio are dream clients. They are huge supporters of creative people in their professional and personal lives. It is pretty incredible to work with people that totally trust and believe in what you do.  We really tried to get these two to come visit us in Hawaii on their way home from their Japanese honeymoon. So not only are they just great humans, they had a pretty fantastic wedding!  The ceremony and reception was beautiful, colorful, and relaxed. Everything DIYed by master crafter Helena. You can't go wrong eating dinner in the open air surrounded by olive trees. Keep your eyes out for these two, they are going places. Congratulations to Helena and Antonio!

This is the the last moment before we all packed into our tiny car full of sad relatives headed to the airport to leave Spain behind. Kalaii had to give those gallinas a little bit of love before he took off for Hawaii. It was a long adventure to get here, and we got to see some loved ones en route. We have arrived on the Big Island and I am really excited to start working as a wedding photographer here in Hawaii. Of course, we aren't giving up our Spanish summers. Bikini Birdie version español lives on and we are booking summer 2014 now in Spain. Aloha!

Summer Time is Wedding Time

I just arrived in New York and have closed the wedding season in Spain. We leave for Hawaii in a week and won't return to Spain until next season. It feels good to be visiting friends and family here in the US and I wanted to share a little glimpse into the fun and beauty I was a part of during the amazing summer under the sun.
